How do you handle pets on the property during snow service?

Edited

Quick answer: Please keep pets indoors or securely confined away from service areas during snow events — our crews operate heavy equipment and can't be responsible for pets on-site. Let us know at scope time if you have a dog run, separate gate, or pet area, and we'll note it on the file.

Before the season starts

  • Tell us about any pet areas, runs, or gates during the scope survey so they're documented.

  • Share any pet-related warnings (aggressive dogs, escape risks, gate latching quirks) in writing.

  • Make sure gate codes and latches are working — crews won't force a gate if they can't confirm the area is safe.

During storms

  • Keep pets indoors or secured while the crew is on-site. Plows, blowers, and skid-steers create noise and debris.

  • If you see a pet loose in a service area, flag it to the crew immediately or call 647-967-7569.
