What happens if there's no snow during the season? Do I get a refund?

Edited

Quick answer: No. Seasonal contracts are flat-rate by design — the price is built on long-term GTA snowfall averages, not on any single winter's total. A mild year and a heavy year cost you the same, which is what gives unlimited-visit service its value.

Why the flat rate exists

  • Crews, fleet, and yard space are staffed for the season before snow starts falling. Fixed costs don't disappear in mild winters.

  • Unlimited visits work both ways: you pay the same after a 50 cm storm as you do after a dusting.

  • Insurance, salting, equipment, and weather monitoring run all season regardless of accumulation.

What the flat rate covers

One seasonal price covers all plowing, shoveling, and ice control for the areas in your scope diagram, from the first triggered event of the season to the last. Ice control alone typically represents 20+ events even in a "mild" GTA winter — freezing rain and flash freezes trigger service independent of snow accumulation.
