What is a Billing Entity?
Quick answer: A Billing Entity is the billing name, address, and email that appears on your invoices and receipts. Each Billing Entity can be linked to one or more service contracts, and a single account can hold multiple Billing Entities — useful for businesses that bill across multiple properties, business units, or legal entities.
What a Billing Entity controls
Billing name shown on invoices and receipts
Billing address for mailing and tax records
Billing email for invoice and payment notifications
Which contracts are billed under that entity
When multiple Billing Entities make sense
Property managers billing different owners per property
Businesses with separate legal entities for different buildings or divisions
Condominium corporations where board expenses are split across funds
Anyone who needs invoice names or addresses different from the account name
