What does fall cleanup include?

Edited

Quick answer: Full leaf removal from lawn, gardens, and hard surfaces; final garden bed cleanup; one last low-cut mow; removal of annuals and debris; and bed edging for a clean winter look. Typically late October through November.

What's included

  • Comprehensive leaf removal — lawn, garden beds, walkways, and driveways.

  • Final bed cleanup and winter preparation (cut-back, edging, debris removal).

  • Last mow of the season — cut lower than summer height to reduce matting risk under snow.

  • Removal of spent annual plants and garden debris.

  • Bed edging for a crisp appearance going into the dormant season.

Timing

Fall cleanup is scheduled based on leaf-fall timing and weather, usually late October through late November. You'll be notified when your visit is scheduled.

Why the timing matters

Fall cleanup done too early means a second pass is needed once remaining leaves drop. Too late, and wet leaves freeze under the first snow and damage turf. Our schedule is built around local fall patterns — not a fixed calendar date.
